How We Work With Sellers

Business valuation and financial analysis
Business valuation and financial analysis

We begin by helping you understand what your business is worth and why. This includes evaluating financial performance, risk factors, and market conditions to establish a realistic valuation range.

Buyer screening and communication management
Buyer screening and communication management

We assist in organizing financial information, identifying key value drivers, and addressing potential issues early to ensure the business is positioned clearly and credibly for buyers.

We manage buyer interactions, control the flow of information, and ensure inquiries remain focused and productive—reducing disruption to your business and protecting confidentiality.

Offer negotiation and deal structuring

We support evaluation of offers, term negotiation, and diligence coordination, helping you navigate complex issues while keeping momentum and leverage intact.

What It Costs to Work With Us

There is no retainer and no upfront cost. We are paid a success fee when your business sells, and nothing before that.

For comparison, most brokerages charge a retainer of $2,500 to $25,000 that you pay whether or not the business ever sells, plus a success fee at closing. We don't, and we don't ask you to sign a twelve-month exclusive agreement to get those terms. If you're not satisfied with how we're representing you, you can end the engagement.

We'll walk through the full fee structure before any engagement begins, in writing.

Frequently Asked Questions About Our Services

What's included in the valuation, and is it really free?

A written valuation with the reasoning shown — the financial analysis, the comparable transactions we're drawing on, and the range we think the market will support. There's no cost and no obligation to list with us afterward. We'd rather you have a real number than a flattering one.

Do you do anything before I'm ready to go to market?

Yes, and it's often where we add the most value. Owners come to us one to three years out to understand what the business is worth today and what specifically would move that number. Reducing owner dependency, cleaning up financials, and locking in customer contracts are usually worth more than any negotiating we do later.

Who actually handles my deal?

One of our partners runs your transaction start to finish. You won't be handed to an associate after the listing agreement is signed. We keep our deal load deliberately limited for that reason.
